The all-new Amundsen Vidda Jacket is an expedition class parka made for tough outdoor life, in a fabric like no other on the market.
The jacket is durable and versatile enough for long polar expeditions yet stylish and clean enough for everyday urban life. The material is called Ventile, a Brittish fabric made from finest long staple fibre ecological cotton with a natural weatherproofing. The fabric was first developed during WW2 for rescue coveralls for Brittish submarine hunting fighter pilots. Making Ventile is a tricky, only a special selection of cotton fibres are good enough and the weaving process requires lots of precision to get the fabric dense enough.
The Vidda Jacket is equipped with snow-lock integration with split-pant, hood fitted for helmet and optional fur brim on the hood.
